Marilyn Monroe's life



Period of Growth

 Marilyn Monroe was born in 1926 in the Los Angeles County Hospital, the third child of Gladys Baker. Her mother was mentally unstable. The young girl was sent to her great aunt Olive Brunings, Maybe she was sexually assaulted by Olive's son and was sexually assaulted by foster-father. Then, she was left at foster homes. The constant move from one foster home to another resulted in a lack of educational background. At 16, she escaped her life by marrying a Jim Dougherty. The couple divorced four years later. By this time, she had begun bleaching her hair blonde, and posing for pin-ups and glamour photos. Also she changed her name to, ‘Marilyn Monroe.‘ Her difficult childhood and early failed marriage made Marilyn Monroe a strong and resilient woman.

 
 
Period as a star
After appearing in small parts in films including 'Love Happy' and 'All About Eve,' Monroe got fame in 1953 with 'Niagara,' 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes,' and 'How To Marry a Millionaire'. In addition, a nude of her appeared Playboy magazine which made Monroe as a star. She dated with baseball player Jo Domaggio but divorced eight months later. The reason for the breakup was a scene in the movie, 'The Seven-Year Itch', In that scene, Monroe stood over a subway vent with her skirt billowing. DiMaggio was very upset and he subjected her to mental and physical violence. Then, Monroe's work began to slow down, but critics praised her acting in the 1956 film 'Bus Stop'. She married playwright Arthur Miller the same year. However, they divorced four years later because of two miscarriages. In the meantime, she became addicted to alcohol and pills.

 
 
 
Her Death
In 1962, Monroe attended the birthday celebration of John F Kennedy. In that time, John F Kennedy and Monroe developed an affair. She wanted to marry John F Kennedy but he just wanted to have fun. In 1962 one day, she was found dead at her home because of an overdose of sleeping pills at the age of 36. The official cause was suicide but this has always been disputed, with countless conspiracy theories triggered by stories about her alleged affairs.
